Frankfurt, January 5, 2023. The anti-financial crime think tank msg Rethink Compliance has expanded its Management Board as of January 1, 2023. Dr. Steffen Gutjahr joins the management team of Dirk Findeisen, Jürgen Krieg and Davor Jurak as Executive Partner. The focus of his activities will be on expanding the service portfolio and developing complementary products and services to support the effectiveness and efficiency of AML/KYC solutions used in the financial industry with the help of artificial intelligence (AI), among other things.
Dr. Steffen Gutjahr previously worked at targens GmbH for 14 years, as head of the Compliance Solutions business unit since 2008 and also as part of the management since the beginning of 2020. Under his leadership, the Smaragd product line was further developed into one of the market-leading solutions for IT applications in the compliance environment and he built-up AI expertise in the company. The continuous expansion of the business model and related sales activities and market analyses were among his central tasks in addition to his management function. The business mathematics graduate and computer scientist with a doctorate in machine learning (ML) also gained professional experience at consulting companies in Frankfurt and as project manager in the overall bank management at Landesbank Baden-Württemberg (LBBW). He is also a part-time lecturer in mathematics and AI at the Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University (DHBW) in Stuttgart.
